Open customer record on incoming telephone call

Has anyone found a way to have Kinetic open a customer record when a phone call comes in from a phone number linked to the customer? Using VOIP phone system

Sure thing I’ve done this several times but it depends on what system you are using

I actually have a couple of customers asking about this, I was just not sure how to tackle it so looking for pointers

Depending on your Phone you could basically want to have a Hook on an incoming call can be done with a soft phone extension or directly in the phone system trunk, and then is as simple as calling the right Epicor API / Screen

As Jose said, it depends on the phone system. With K2022, objects in Kinetic are directly addressable via URL.

Sure - Our company (before my time here) created a call monitor app that interfaces with our Mitel system, and brings up the customer information… It’s been in use for ages, and still works fine in Kinetic2022.2. There are some threads about this from the old yahoo group archives that could get you thinking in the right direction.
