I noticed after uninstalling OpenEdge, all the appservers and
databases are removed. Is there a way to backup this configuration
and restore them after reinstalling?

Thanks,

I was wondering if anybody is experiencing problems installing SP3 for
OpenEdge 101B? I've deleted the temporary folder, work directory, and
even rebooted the machine, but after the installation starts,
OpenEdge101BSP3 gets to 11% and just quits. Nothing is logged and no
error messages are displayed.

Now, I can't run the AdminTools because I'm getting an a memory
mismatch error when I start the Admin Tools.

I ran into the same exact problem.

It started out as un problem unrelated to OpenEdge, but the Epicor
support folks follow a scripted path, which always starts with "You
need the latest patch..."

Luckily we were only testing 8.03 (we're in the middle of a conversion
from 4.41 to 8.03) and could be down for the two whole days and several
WebEx sessions) that Epicor took to get it resolved.

During the Install of OE101b SP3, the progress would get to that magic
11% and then just quit.

It took the following to finnaly get SP3 installed
1. Reboot server
2. Uninstall OE101b (requires going in to the Explorer tool and stoping
the DBs, then stopping the Windows Services)
3. Reboot Server
4. Install OE101b (no service pack)
5. Stop OE DBs and services
5. Install OE101b SP2 (required for SP3 installation)
6. Stop OE DBs and services
7. Install OE101b SP3
8. Reboot server

I don't know if every one of those steps was necessary, but doing them
all worked.

And all of that was for a problem that still existed after the SP3
upgrade.

Save the conmgr.properties file and the ubroker.properties file from

I don't remember exactly what the problem was, but my VAR told me that
there was some kind of bug in regards to SP3 and Epicor told whomever it
was to revert back to SP2

Save the conmgr.properties file and the ubroker.properties file from
the properties folder of your open edge installation.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Hello, Group:

SP3 successfully installed after removing OpenEdge101B and
reinstalling from scratch. If you decide to take this route, please
remember to backup your configuration files. After uninstalling
OpenEdge101B, the c:\epicor\oe101b directory is empty.

Thanks,
