Order Entry Decimals Places on Quantities

Hello,

Hopefully this is something that is simple that we are just overlooking. As an example, in Order Entry most of the quantities (say on the line tab) display eight decimal places. Our Company settings in Epicor Admin Console and in Currency Master are set to lower than that. Additionally in the form customization, if we check the field itself, the formats and masks are set to show less than eight decimals as well.

Please let us know if anyone has any guidance here. Any help is always much appreciated.

Thanks,
JM

Have you checked the Extended Properties for those fields? They could have been set by code in the Form launch - That’s where the Customization wizard would place them.

Thanks Calvin,

There does not appear to be any extended properties in the customization for formatting these fields. Also… I get the same outcome when I run in base only.

Did you check the Extended Properties of the Field on the table?

We had to edit the format so that next order number would display more than the 6 digits that filed has as a default format.

Reference:

Hmmm… this does look strange, if it’s not in Extended Properties ether…
As a test, can you temporarily change the customization

  • set “Use App Styling” to false for one of those fields with a 2 decimal mask & format string?

Check the decimals setup for your UOM ea under UOM maintenance. We change that on occasion to clean up fractional on hand quantities and it just so happens to max out at 8 which is what you are seeing on your form.
