We are on 9.05.700C.
We have that checkbox selected but I think that some users uncheck it on the order to improve performance and then check it again when complete. I think that the error may arise somehow in that situation but once it occurs the Calculate Tax action does not resolve it.

In our E9.05.701 testing we discovered that in the Company configuration there is a checkbox that needs to be checked in the Invoicing Group box “Ready to Calculate”. This is located in Company configuration > Modules > Finance
> Accounts Payable. We were having the same problem until we discovered this and checked the box.
