I am trying to make a barcode that has a space in it. Right now for testing,
I'm just using the dataworks 39 font with notepad. Anyway, the spaces appear
in the printed output, but the scanner seems to ignore them. I'm using code
39 with full ASCII, so to confirm I tried using the extended codes, and they
all worked except the space.
For example, this text:
*this is a test*
When scanned, reads as:
thisisatest
I've tried this with both symbol and PSC scanners with no luck. I recall
somebody else was talking about this on the list earlier, but I can't find
it in the archives. Has anyone run into this issue and how did you get it
working?
Thanks
