Using backup exec, run the Inventory function, then run the catalog
function. You should then be able to select the files to restore.

I do have the software just not loaded. With out the table am I still
out of luck?

system. We use Backup Exec. I don't have the data table anymore or the
software or the original PC it ran on. I do have the drive and the
tapes.

Am I totally screwed or is there a way to get information off of those
tapes. I don't want to spend significant amounts of money. If I can't
do it myself we will just forget it.

Load the software into a machine with the tape drive installed - then look
in the help for Catalog. There should be a way to tell BE to scan the
inserted tape and generate a catalog.
