[OT] Inbox to Outlook Express

Drop the files you want to import on a local drive, chose file import and it
should allow to import the files. If this doesn't help, go to www.deja.com
<http://www.deja.com/> (google groups) and type in your question.

I have someone who just went from a W95 pc with inbox (Exchange Client) to a
W98se pc with Outlook Express. We would like to get both her address book
and her saved email from the W95 to the W98se pc. Inbox does not have an
export button and when I try to import in Outlook Express it wants a
profile -- I know the address book file on W95 is "personal.pab" -- on W98se
the extension is .wab and it won't let me just copy the files over. Does
anyone know how to accomplish this? I've tried every "help" area I can
think of and I went out to the MS site and couldn't find anything there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

We use Outlook 2000 and it will allow you to import e-mail from a "pst"
file. I think it automatically imports personal address books during the
installation and places all the addresses in the "contacts" folder. I have
noticed that Outlook Express lacks some features... maybe it's import
function is weak. You may want to upgrade to the full version of Outlook.
