Job Summary
The overall responsibility of this position is to coordinate and supervise all aspects of planning and production control. This position will have responsibility for forecasting/planning of materials, material movements in plants and inventory control, expediting, etc.
Essential Functions
This position may include but not be limited to the following duties;
- Oversight of front end manufacturing/production processes
- Maintain availability of materials for production
- Utilize resources to expand production
- Effectively lead a team of planners, expeditors
- Production control
- Work closely with Customer Service, production supervisors, Engineering, Quality and other functional groups as required
- Maintain capacity production plans
Minimum Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years in Planning with at least 3 years of Supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership.
- Interacts positively with others.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel.
Desired Skills
- Low volume, High mix planning
- Manufacturing operation software; MRP i.e., Oracle, BAAN, SAP. Epicor experience is highly desirable.
- Planning or scheduling background within a manufacturing environment.
- AA degree or higher.
