I have a vague recollection of this from our newer Ricoh multifunction machines. It had something to do with the fax group standard being used. We could not receive from Group 4 (I think it was) because the Ricoh was set to Group 5(?). Many of our vendors had older fax machines that did not support it. We ended up dumbing it down a group lower. Or something like that. You may need to have the vendor adjust their end because they will likely have this issue with other customers.

Completely off topic but I was curious if anyone has had any interaction
with one of these?

We have a vendor who uses this for all their incoming faxes, and we are
unable to fax directly from our current ERP system to them.

Our emails work with every other vendor, and had worked with this vendor
right up til they put in this new fax system.

The error we get is a "Timeout on from modem while connecting", we can fax
to them from the same number with a standard fax machine with no problem
though.

We are using a Multi-Tech modem with Vsifax 4.1.3b build 282, the OS running
it is some linux flavor - yes it is an older version of Vsifax, but we are
trying to prevent an upgrade prior to this whole unit being taken out of
service in the next 6-9 months.

Just curious if anyone has seen or dealt with this, or something similar and
what the solution was.
