I just bought a projector from VisualApex (www.visualapex.com), they had an absolutely smoking deal ont he BenQ 7230 (Pro Serie, 1024/768, 2000:1 contrast, 2500 Lumens, DLP) with a free extra lamp(~300$) (mail in rebate) for 1100$ US! The item is no longer available (end of run I beleive) but I had a great purchase experience with them. Doing a bit of research paid off big!

expensive). The 2nd one (BENQ) was very strong in brightness and power
(for the corporate office), the 3rd one (NEC) was for the executives

recommendation is the same for PCs:
1). Set a budget
2). Add subtract features (weight, cost of replacement bulbs,
clarity/sharpness, brightness, size of screen/distance to screen,
Warranty, etc.)
3). Don't look back, because tomorrow it will be brighter, sharper,
clearer, and cheaper
I have also purchased Dell as they run specials in their Small-Medium
Business area and they drop prices pretty well.
