Hello!
I am having a battle with viruses and WinXP. I'm curious what are you
guys using to protect workstations from advertisement pop-ups and viruses?
Thank you so much for any suggestions.
Tamara

We use Ad-aware 6 for pop-ups and Bazooka spyware. Also, we use Trend
Micro for our anti-virus for our networks and workstations.

For pop ups and some malware intrutions I suggest Mozilla's Firefox
Browser and Thunderbird Email.
No more Intenet Explorer or Outlook Express
You can enable native pop up blocking in Firefox.
Thunderbird has a setting which prevent pictures from being downloaded
in HTML mail (these pictures let spammers know you are a live email address)
(pictures can be seen by clicking a button in the email if you wish)
Adaware, Spybot S & D, CWShredder, Hijackthis are all good antispyware
tools.

For anti-virus Eset's NOD32 very fast, very strong antivirus, works
great on older PC's as well (even DOS machines)
NOD32 is also generally a little cheaper than others. (Microsoft uses
this software on their systems)
One of the strongest Pass vs. Fail records according to the Virus
Bulletin. (better than Norton and McAfee)
