OT: Snap Server

Lori,

I have 2200, 4000 and 12000 series SNAP appliances... and got caught by the same situation.
Do you want the 2003 subdirectory of Finance to be a "Shared" resource?
Does the 2003 sub-directory already exist?
I take it you're going in through Security - Network shares - New share...
The Snap admin will prompt for directory creation if it doesnt already exist. There are also 2 areas to set permissions:
Network Share Access and File/Folder Security (same as Windows NT, 2000, XP).

Feel free to contact me directly if you'd like.

Regards, Lee

I've never worked with a Snap Server but if you are able to unshare the 2003
folder, it should still be accessible via your \\finance\2003 path. That's
what I would try.

I have purchased a Snap Server 2200 to be my file server and had no issues
getting it connected to our network or configuring it. I have however, ran
into issues while trying to create a directory structure and sharing
folders.

If I create a Finance folder and try to create a 2003 folder inside, I end
up seeing both folders on the root.

Does anyone have any experience doing this or have documentation that can be
sent offline?

Thanks,

Lori
