Thanks Wayne, That did it.

Check if the "guest" user account is disabled. Enable it and set its
password null.

I upraded (fresh install) a user who shares a vital printer from Win98 to Win2K. Now I can't share the printer. Whenever some tries to access it (or to install it on another PC) I get a Password box popping up looking for a password for IPC$. And no password remotely linked to the sharing PC or the domain controller will work. I have set all the security settings I can figure out on the printer share and nothing helps. All the "users" of the printer are still Win98. I know this should be pretty simple but I must be missing something. When I try to change the share security on IPC$ I am told I can't.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I would check to make sure that "domain users" are listed in the "users" of
the local machine.

Just a thought.
