Part UOM Error

, ,

Has anyone experienced an Error producing when trying to add a part to an assembly in Engineering Workbench?

I have a few parts that produce the “Cannot determine UOM Class of UOM” error when adding them to an assembly for a job. The Parts are the correct UOM “EA”, counting in quantities of 1. I have searched other threads and found a few that already shared their experience from it being caused by importing parts from Excel. However, this is not the case for us, as we do not do this.

From what I can see, the only reason for this is when I looked into the UOM Conversion Maintenance and saw the “BOX” checked, I am wondering if instead it needs to be EA or EA set as the default further right. Any insight is appreciated! Thank you

I had an issue very similar to this. Epicor support was able to create a datafix for it. I think if you supply this information to them, they can create the datafix for you and help you get it installed. IT was pretty easy.
Good luck!
