Part Update Error

One of our users is having issues with Part Entry, when they attempt to update the description and save, they are getting a “Row has been modified by another user” error. The error message calls out the PartPlant Table so I turned off any BPM’s we had on that table and he still gets the same results.

Its only happening in the browser, not in the client. This screen doesn’t have any customization layers and I even deleted this users personalization for this screen. So far, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue with my account. Making it seem like its user specific.

Any other places I should be checking?

Just chiming in to say we have the same issue no bpms happening on multiple users on both the base layer and the custom ones. I started a case but have not had the time to work with the cs rep on the issue. Our work around at the moment is to hit save when opening the part then making the required field change and save again this seems to work for us.

I just tested the workaround you suggested and sure enough, this user is able to update the part description with no errors if they hit “Save” before making any changes.

It sounds like its not specific to our environment if you’re also experiencing the same issue.

Thanks for the workaround in the short term, looks like I’ll also have to open a ticket with Epicor support.
