Payroll Envelopes

Beware, unless this has changed in 5 Payroll checks don't fit that category.
You can only manipulate the font size and the number of lines per page in
the vantage.ini file. I went through this about 8 months ago. The office
was tri-folding the check and then folding over the bottom to make it fit.
I managed to play enough with the lines per page and the font size to make
it fit.
Good luck, if you want details on what font, size and LPP I used, feel free
to contact me off list.
One of my big complaints has been the inability to change payroll check
layout as I can AP checks...

I had this problem. For the name and address info, I went down a couple of
font sizes, and monkeyed around with the location of the fields on the
report (checks are nothing but reports) until it ligned up perfectly with a
normal envelope...

On my install (version 4) it is:

Server//Epicor/Vantage/Userform/
My filename is ChkPrint.rpt
This might not be the same name as yours, since I know it has been modified.

Easiest way to find out for which file you are looking for is to see what
Vantage is set to use:
Main Menu/System Management/Configuration Management/Report Style
Scroll through the list of forms (which also means checks) and double click
your selection to see the details like location/filename and whether it has
been written in Report Builder or Crystal. If you have multiple entries for
the same form choose the one that says "yes" in the default column.

We changed envelope styles, which gave enough room for the address to
be shown completely. Brand name is Columbian envelopes, Stock # C171
#10 window and security tint. The style has diagonal seams instead of
the straight "contemporary style" and that seemed to make a difference.

Sounds strange, but it saved making changes to the software, that has to
be redone each time you upgrade it.
