Need an answer for a one-time occurrence. We are moving to a 3rd party payroll system, but need to pay out employees a last check before switching over. The payroll will be for 1 day. To my knowledge, I do not see an option to change weekly pay to 1/5 of the typically weekly paycheck for salaried employees. The system automatically calculates an hourly rate based on yearly salary, but I do not see where it is based on hours. I do know that when completing payroll, there are options to set the hours to Regular pay, vacation, pto, and so on, but is there an option to only pay salaried employees for 1 day for the week?
For hourly, we changed the OT threshold to daily and set it to 8.00 hours so it will calculate overtime.
All salaried employees, roughly 100 people, 3 batches. Solution: After some testing, we created the batch, generated checks, went to Hours and changed from 40.0. to 8.00. That recalculated the hourly rate from their rate to the equivalent of their week’s pay at 8 hours, so ie. $25/hour changed to $125/hr. We replaced the $125 back with the $25 and it calculated to one day’s pay. Not sure if that was the proper way to do things, but seems as if Epicor doesn’t like calculating a one day pay period with “Weekly Salaried” employees.
