Does anyone have suggestions on how to tune (improve) performance of Epicor hosted on a private cloud (virtualized) server with terminal served clients? We have similarly configured environments we are comparing; one on a physical DB host and one on a virtual DB host in a data center. Interactive performance in the cloud is good (order entry, RMA processing, PO entry, etc.) but report generation (ODBC and BAQ) can be much slower. In the cloud the virtual machines resources are not being taxed. And using Epicor Performance Diagnostic tools the cloud based DB shows very good performance. It seems to be some sort of configuration parameters that cause the cloud to be waiting or timing out. Does anyone have experience or suggestions on how to improve?
