I have set up a PO document type which can be attached at the header, line, and release level. I set up document metadata mapping so that the Content Fields in DocStar will be correctly populated.
These are the database field mappings for “PO number” for each of the levels:
POHeader.PONum
PODetail.PONUM
PORelNum.PONum
I assumed I could just create a “PONum” field in DocStar and they would all map correctly, but that is not the case. Documents attached to the header and release bring in the PO number, but the field is blank when attaching at the line level.
DocStar seems to be case-sensitive. I can’t even set up a separate “PONUM” field and just fill the “PONum” field based on it, because it doesn’t allow duplicates.
