Possible bug in 8.03.305B

We are also on 305B. I just tried going through your scenario first
with memory cache turned on in part tracker (my normal setting). I
did not get any error. I then turned off memory cache and this time I
did get an unhandled exception error. Clicking on "Continue" on this
error does not get you to part tracker. I'll also submit this to
Epicor

Thank you to Steve regarding the holding down the shift key trick, I
didn't know that one and I think it will be helpful.

Hi all,

Can anyone else confirm they have this problem?

No memory caching is turned on on the client.

1) Open part tracker
2) Search for part with an approved BoM
3) Go to revisions tab and right click, open with Method Tracker
4) Select a component in the materials tree and right click on its Part
Number in the right hand pane.
5) Click on 'Part Tracker'
6) Screen which appears is the original Part Tracker you started with
and does not update to show new Part detail.
7) Close Part Tracker window, go back to Method Tracker
8) Right click on part again, click on 'Part Tracker' and an Unhandled
Error appears

This is something that our sales people find themselves doing quite
often so if other people also have this problem, I'll submit the fault
to Epicor.

Jonathan
Hold the shift key down when you try to open the second part tracker
screen.

This will solve your problem.

Shift will opens up a new instance of the window but it shouldn't crash
if you don't, we had this issue on previous versions but was related to
cached screens.
