I do agree with Jason, APM does have some good functionality. I don't
remember what the standard cost for that particular module is. Each
company has to weigh the perceived value vs the cost. We do make use of
what APM has to offer from its core functionality. However, that being
said, I know that Epicor sales folks have tried to sell APM for some
functionality that it really doesn't have (implied or otherwise) to more
than one company out there.

Rob,
That's pretty harsh. Most companies that use APM - from my experience -
use it to process invoices, purchase orders, sales orders, quotes, etc.
Companies that do hundreds of invoices, POs or SOAs on a daily basis
really appreciate the benefits that APM brings to the table by
automating the process either faxing, emailing, printing or all of the
above. APM is a good product, does it need improvements, yes - but tell
me one software product that doesn't?

Bravo John! (And thanks - You saved me from typing a long rant on what a
useless bill of goods Epicor is selling companies under the APM "&
extras" ad nauseum umbrella of optional (added cost) modules.)
They're not worth the paper Epicor's literature on them is printed on.
Snake oil - pure and simple.

I hate to rain on your parade but we have DocLink and it will not print
out the attachments in the way you are describing.
The attachment must be sent to the doclink product from Vantage as part
of the Crystal Reports PO print. Vantage doesn't support this.
DocLink can only add attachments to a drawing on the fly if the document
exist in doclink.
For example: we would like to be able to attach an engineering drawing
to each PO but we would have to first copy every released engineering
drawing into the doclink database so that it would be available in case
it was needed when someone printed.
I heard a rumor that Altec may enhance this in a future revision but
that's a pipe dream in the here and now.
The only other option I could think of which I wasn't able to make work
was to add a page to the Crystal template. This would do its own lookup
and embed the drawing as an extra page of the PO.
Hope this helps,
