Printing Username on report

And, if you don't find it, you can add the UserFile to the RDD with a new relationship...

Thanks Vic, found it under SubAsmbl table. I'll make sure to check all the available tables next time and should be able to find the userid field somewhere.

Ted, I can't think of one canned report that doesn't pass along the UserID
in one of the fields.

The JobTrav Report Data Def has RPTUSERID (Calc Field) in the SubAsmbl
table, JobOper table and JobShip tables

One of them should work, no?

Hi all,

Looking for a way to make available the current users ID for printing on a
report, I want to have the current user's user ID print on the job traveler.
The priority dispatch report has the calculated field Calc_UserID in the
Company table. I don't think you can make your own calculated fields unless
you have the SDK. Curious if anyone found a way around this?

Thanks,

-Ted

You want it in ALL reports? If not then you can customize the Input Screen
and send it as part of report Param table... Which BTW you should check as
it may already have this inf.

I mainly want it on the Job Traveler for right now, but if I get it working for the traveler I can get it to work on other reports when needed. I am looking at the ReportParam table in the object explorer and there are no ud fields to pass extra parameters, have you just used a field that already exists that you wouldn't normally use in the report.

Some Reports have Character01.. etc. if it doesn't you could jsut use a
field you don't need.
