Problem loading Memo information into Customer Entry

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but no, there are no BAM's in operation on the customer table.

To add to my original message, the memo data in question is 14,671 characters (inclusive of whitespace).  Saved as a text file, the file size is 14.4Kb.

thanks,

Steve

Hello,

We are attempting to load customer memo data from our legacy system into Customer records within Epicor 9.05.702.  However, some of these memos are apparently too large to be held in any Character field, or combination of Character fields.

For example, entering the data into the customer comments field results in the following error:

If I then reduce the memo to a size acceptable for saving, then try to paste the amount removed into another field (for example, Customer.Character01), the same error is reported.  This also occurs if I attempt to split the data across several Character fields.  This is despite character fields showing a capacity of x16,000?

The same result occurs if I exit customer maintenance / Epicor entirely and then try to save in the other fields after logging in again.

I understand error 12370 refers to a 32K limit on record update?  If so, then why does my solution of breaking up the data and saving smaller chunks not work?

Many thanks,

Steve

Just a thought- but do you have BAM set-up to record changes on those fields to the change log? Â It could be the changelog that is having the issue saving that much data?
