My company is migrating to P21. The implementation date isn’t until sometime mid 2024 but I’ve been given early access to training session and I’d like to get a head start.
Currently working on process orders and I’m confused. The Epicor self-help articles and videos haven’t been much use beyond basic aspects.
So far I’ve managed to create processes and pre-defined routing. Where I’m lost is the process PO portion. I did select “PO required” for the process but I can’t seem to find an option to actually create a Process PO. Is the function of generating a PO an automatic function of the pre-defined routing stage, or am I way off?
Is the pre-defined route the actual process by which material is converted (either internal or external)? Or is there a step after the pre-defined routing that needs to be completed in order to generate the PO and begin the flow of events?
