The configurator is called via Business Objects so you could build a .net project calling them in a stand alone application. You would still need to connect to the Epicor database though and your application would consume a license while in use. The configurator has to store the results in a record tied to either a quote line, job or an order line. Which means your external use of the configurator has to include creating an order and/or linking to an existing quote, job or order.
I know there are companies out there using the configurator via the Web.
