Currently our production team has been pulling ahead of schedule a number of days(specific reasons for this outside of Epicor).
What this means is production is pulling jobs multiple days ahead of the calendar date. We schedule jobs via CTP. In some instances CTP will schedule a job to start behind the date production is working on. Again, an artifact of a choice to allow production to pull ahead.
My question is should or can global schedule be picking this up and pulling jobs in if there is additional capacity. Ie. production pulls .5 days ahead so global sees this open capacity and pulls jobs in when it runs? Is this the correct functionality of global schedule for released make direct jobs? Regardless of how far production team “pulls ahead” today I want tomorrows schedule to be fully loaded not half loaded as in my scenario without having to go in and manually un-schedule and reschedule each job.
