We have had trouble with our b1 file increasing in the past and along with speed issues we resolved both of them with a dump and load.
However, just to confirm we run MRP daily and our file size can stay the same for weeks so not sure about MRP having an effect.
You can get a bi file monitor from Epicor that records the file size every few seconds so you can see when it increases so this gives you an idea of where to look in your server logs in case anything stands out as the cause too.
