Within the Project Entry screen, there is a Project Costs tab showing total Quoted, Estimated and Actual costs. I wish to create BAQs to drill-down into the detail behind these costs, to show where they have come from. This is to help us determine why there is a variance between Quote/Est/Actuals on Projects.
Does anyone know what tables are used to calculate the highlighted fields? Via Field Help, the totals are stored in ‘ProjectCst’, but there looks to a process that calculates these totals, so I’m unsure where Epicor is getting its data from.
I’m back to working on this requirement, after putting it aside for a bit.
I’ve found that the actual cost totals are contained the following table: ProjectJobCost.
This breaks down material/labour/subcontract/burden by job and can be summed up to match the Project Cost totals, in the screen above.
Is there a similar table for Estimate job costs? Or would I need to create individual BAQs for Material Transactions, Labour Transactions, Subcontract POs etc?
Found the table JobAsmbl which has detailed est costs for the job. Summing up this table per project comes close to the number on the Project Costs summary.
Not sure on the reason for the slight variance between the two, so have asked Support for details on the calculation used in the Project costs screen.
