Apparently the sales tax for Ohio for freight and installation is a bit weird and is prorated based on the taxability of the lines.
For instance:
Line 1 is taxable at 7.5%
Line 2 is taxable at 7.5%
Line 3 isn’t taxable
Line 4 isn’t taxable
Then (assuming the amounts are equal above only 50% of the invoice is taxed)
Therefore install and freight are only taxed at 50% the tax rate.
Install is taxed at 3.75 instead of 7.5
Freight is taxed at 3.75 instead of 7.5
Does anyone know how to set this up?
