We have a paper mill in town that puts out some awful smells if you drive close / near it. Somehow every time you are outside and something smells foul they always say “the paper mill”

“Nothing I can do” is my worst case scenario!

For me, “Nothing I can do, and I’m the only one who can do anything about it” is my worst case scenario. A lot of us have ONE data center. We need to be prepared for when that catches fire, floods, etc.

Seems to happen more and more often these days, global outages.

And it won’t just be computer systems. We lived through the East Coast Power Outage in 2003. And with the way the world is going, who knows what can happen.

Resiliency planning would make a nice thread someday.
