By any chance is there a service out there where I can login to an Epicor server to practice, learn, etc?
I am a consultant who does not have working copy of Epicor and my client is paranoid about remote connections.
If they are considering having Epicor upgrade them with Cirrus, then a cloud testing environment is part of the package. You could also have them contact their CAM to see if they can purchase an Education environment on the cloud, but not sure if that’s a ‘thing’.
It’s a thing for Public Cloud users but, you’re right, not sure if it’s an a la cart thing. BTW, the hosted Education systems are multi-tenant 
so some functionality is not available.
