We’re looking to slow down our database growth (160Gb) and start purging more items (besides the change log and system activity log), but want to do it carefully.

What happens to the Part’s FIFO layers when you purge the PartTran records? I assume manufactured parts in inventory would have the cost assigned when the part is put into inventory, so Epicor no longer needs the FIFO layer to get that cost. What about purchased/manufactured parts that get stocked before the cut-off date? Do those fifo layers remain, even though they are before the cut-off date?
Do you guys look at any before/after numbers to make sure they still tie out?
