Querying for data

I guess my real question is can I search a table that does not have an adapter? Epicor 9.05.606, Progress DB.

Subject: [Vantage] Querying for data

I am trying to open an attachment on the PO Suggestions entry form with the click of a button. This form contains the job number, assembly number, and material number; which I could then derive what attachments are related to this material. I want to return the most recent attachment for a material. I am not sure how to perform a search with code that would return the attachment name. Anyone have any ideas how to accomplish this with some code?
