Question on 8.03.400 functionality

Does Vantage 8.03.400 have the ability to import new revisions of Bills
of Materials from an external file. We have a PLM system that
engineering would like to use to create/update bills of material. I
don't see any problem with creating but rolling a revision to the next
one would involve importing the new revision parts and then getting the
methods from the old revision (unless the assembly has been deleted).
Is this possible??
