Yeah, you should be fine. I don’t think any cloud is still on 2021.1 at this point. And on-prem it’s 10.1.500 or newer.

Did you have to go into the Fedex Developer portal to set that up? Or did the tech do it on your behalf?

We had to setup it up in developer portal via our FedEx account. Our FedEx account rep referred me to someone at FedEx to help me with the process since I’d never done it before so it’d be done right.

As a Cloud customer, for our PILOT Quickship the REST enable was very simple:

  • Open a case w/EpicCare to configure Quickship PILOT for Fedex REST (the JSON changes).
  • In Quickship > Setup > Facilities > Carriers
    • Edit Fedex:
      • Add Test REST Account number
      • Add Test REST API URL
      • Register REST API button
        • May ask for Test Invoice# - go to QS Help and search for “FedEX API Carrier Guide“. This has the test account, URL, and invoice values to use.
      • Done.

In my case, the tech who did the JSON change also offered to walk through the changes in Quickship in a Teams meeting, so it was all very simple.

For QS LIVE, the tech said the same process is used, although of course I have to provide a recent invoice from our actual Fedex account.

The switch was easy but in testing a shipment we get errors that Epicor is looking into.

REST only worked with Epicor 2025.2.10 for us. I have been trying since last year and kept getting Server file log error: An item with the same key has already been added. Key: ShortChar01

You’re saying the ERP version mattered? Or the quick ship version mattered?

The issue for us was a configuration issue on our Pilot QS. It got fixed today but we haven’t moved Production over yet. Plan to do it off-hours.

I see, well we are on 10.2.500 so I guess I’ll have to figure this out.

I think you will be OK. On-prem QS works back to 101.500 based on their own docs. I don’t have a way to validate that though.

The new FedEx stuff is only in QS 24.2+ and only fully supported in 25.2.x.

I did have this exact same error with Checkbox01. The update 2025.2.10 fixed it for us as well.

Support thought we had a duplicated UD field but we did not. I asked for clarification on what from 2025.2.10 would fix it or if we did anything wrong but I didn’t get a response on that end.
