Has anyone else noticed lately that the ref1 and ref2 values don’t pull through to UPS like they used to? It seems like it is always customer po and customer order number these days no matter what we enter in. Is this now configurable somewhere?
Haso hasn’t snuck some BPM in on ya has he ?
I just did a quick test on 2024.1.2 and the references came across normally. I even updated them after freighting the first time to be sure they were getting updated.
Is it wrong in the Epicor request and the shipment request or does it get changed before the UPS request?
The correct value is show in the request to QuickShip. Sorry I should have included that request initially
I’m guessing it’s a feature they added to pull those automatically and that is configured somewhere in our system causing the issue. I’m on version 2023.2.2.1130
@gpayne in facility maint in quickship what do you show here for references? I have a configuration there, I’m guessing you do not.
@jgiese.wci we just went through the setups with the Quickship team for cloud migration, they has us configure the facilities like this:
@jgiese.wci I have them also and with no info in the reference fields in shipments they are there, but Order Number is ref1 and PO is ref2
@gpayne and @bderuvo if you manually put a different value in the ref fields in Epicor though do those pull through or are they then overrode at QuickShip?
Occasionally for drop ships we need to put the end customers PO number in Ref 1 not our distributors PO number.
Havent tried recently.
The customer shipment fields override the defaults.
Well I don’t get it then? I’m going to just leave it not configured and see what happens.
I used to know but now I don’t so this is a useless post. I do know Doug Taplin could explain it though.
I ran several tests and found that when my facility has those reference values entered it does not override like others have demonstrated. Not sure if that’s version specific? By removing the configuration entirely I was able to override what QuickShip was sending to Epicor. Prior to removing the configurations I got the PO Number and Order Number no matter what in the UPSRequest.xml
Thanks for doing that test and sharing that with us. Like you said, I’m pretty sure they have played with this functionality and toggled the way it works from version to version so who knows how this will travel through upgrades. What version of Quickship are you on right now?
I’m on version 2023.2.2.1130
In talking with QuickShip they are suspect it’s an unreported bug. Still working through the issue.
