Quote Entry and printing

Thank you all for your responses. What eventually solved the problem was authorizing the two users in the Work Force program.

This in affect is a safety precaution that basically says you have reviewed this method and are making it available to be copied into engineering workbench and that it is okay to quote. Once you click on quote checkbox you can print the quote. If you need to redo the quote you can uncheck the checkbox and uncheck the engineered checkbox. Once you are done recheck the engineered (if it is a part on the fly, not in your part master) and check the quote checkbox again and you will be able to print the quote

None of this information appears in the Part Master file.

One of our employees has just started using the system to enter quotes. Now she needs to print some out, but the "Print Form" item on the Actions menu is greyed out. The "Quoted" checkbox is also greyed out, and the "Engineered" checkbox on the Line is also greyed out. How can I enable the "Quoted" checkbox so we can print out the quote and send it to our potential customer?

Hi Ernie,

Our estimators sometimes have that problem and if I remember correctly
they had to go into the Header tab and turn quoted on there. The
checkbox shows up on both the Summary tab and the Header tab.

Linda

One of our employees has just started using the system to enter quotes.
Now she needs to print some out, but the "Print Form" item on the
Actions menu is greyed out. The "Quoted" checkbox is also greyed out,
and the "Engineered" checkbox on the Line is also greyed out. Doing a
little digging, it appears that she quoted a part that is not in the
system, and with the help of Engineering created an entire method. None
of this information appears in the Part Master file.

How can I enable the "Quoted" checkbox so we can print out the quote and
send it to our potential customer?

If its a part on the fly in the quote, you have to "engineer" it before quoting it.
