In Quot Entry–>Line–>Manufacturing–>Details–>Quote Details–>Materials–>Detail is has a Scrap field. For me and everybody else, this field auto populates no issues. for ONE person, she has to click in the field for it to show up. I have cleared her cache, removed her personalization and still she is having the issue. Anyone had something similar before?
Are the details pulled in from a MOM, template (prior quote or job), or manually entered?
And when you say auto populates, do you mean goes from blank to some value? Or from the default of 0.00 to a value specified in the MOM (or template)?
Values come from the MOM. When everyone else enters the part number into the Quote and we hit our Get Revision, it brings in all the values and the scrap shows up no problems-auto-populates. For her, its blank until she clicks in it and then it shows up.
What happens if she saves the quote, right after it populates from the Get Revision click, but without giving the scrap field focus?
And does this happen regardless of the value in the scrap field of the MOM?
Value doesn’t matter. The quote is saved when we are doing this. Same result. I just found it weird.
So just a UI anomaly? Does tabbing to that field make it show, or is an actual click required?
I have seen some instances where a UI field appears to go blank, but it really its contents just went out of view. Like if the spaces that pad the entry got wider, such that the visible characters “slipped” past the right edge of the control.
Does this person have a specific language set, while others have it blank or “in-variant” (whatever that is)? Does she experience it on other peoples computers? Maybe its related to a Windows setting like text scaling, or localization (like number format).
Forgot about text scaling. i will have to check that one out.
