Yeah, I think what you are doing is the best that you are gonna get. There isn’t a way (that I know of) to put scrap on the assembly.
Thanks for taking the time to read through that and give your take @Banderson , much appreciated sir.
@Banderson @jkane for what it’s worth in the database there is a field for quoteAsm.EstScrap and JobAsmbl.EstScrap but it doesn’t work… it’s there though.
So at some point it was a thought and did work- or maybe worked I don’t know ![]()
Even the jobasmbl one? There is a field for the asm scrap in engineering workbench
Yes, even the jobasmbl, but you can’t use it, it’s a “system” field.
Sorry to keep on pestering you, but what happens if you enter something on the MOM? Does it just ignore it? I can test too if you can’t.
Just ignores it. I added a numeric editor to the quote screen and bound it to QuoteAsm.EstScrap and put a number in there… the required quantity was not affected…
On JobAsmbl I couldn’t use the field as it was read only.
It’s not a used field anymore and probably shouldn’t exist.
You can enter a value in Engineering Workbench.

Interesting. ![]()

Haha you’re getting crazy with it!!!
