Quote Revisions

I know this is a favorite topic and has been shared on the group before, but I need to deal with Quote Revisions where I can maintain the original quote lines, quantities, and prices with a revision number and then create new quote lines and quantities and prices with the same quote number but with a new revision number.

Any suggestions on Quote revisions?

We send a quote, customer says something different, we revise the
quote. This can happen several times. Then the customer says, give me
the 2nd revision after 5 have been sent. Anyone else have this problem
or figured how get Vantage to do this easily?

I would just create a new quote by copying the previous and making changes.
You can then change the confidence level for each iteration. You can also set
the original quote to be a parent quote if you want to link them together in
someway.

This applies to V8.

If we have a customer like this sometimes we would add the revision
number or letter to the end of the part number in a dash form.
i.e. 12345-4

The rule at my current employer (and my previous employer) was once the
quote was submitted to the customer, it could not be revised (because of
the situation you are facing). If the customer changed their mind and
wanted some variation of the first quote, we'd duplicate the original quote
(assigning it a new number) and modify it accordingly. We could see the
history using part advisor and quote tracker.
