This is what you want. It will be null until you set it. So you just want to see if it’s null, then if it is, set your field.

We use the task set for our quotes and it is then easy to pull metrics from the dates that the tasks are completed. Of course, this requires a little extra work on each quote.

By using the inserted date field that Banderson suggested and setting up the Data Directive to look at the Engineered checkbox and then a date (or null) in the new date field this works perfectly. Here is a screen shot of the dashboard. I appreciate all the help. Thanks.
