Random / Middle Article Inspection?

Interesting I’ll have to pay with it, thanks John!

I think I’d just do the math in a bpm on report qty and trigger a stop and a bpm form or some other process. (dynamic document?..)

Is this a separate Epicor module?

Yes

Yeah we don’t want to stop the line operator. We just want the inspector to be notified and go do some inspecting.

your ? to @jkane:

Yep - it’s the Configurator used for Inspection Plans. It only triggers on the completion of a Qty, and then calculates how many pieces of that completed qty need to be inspected. It’s a bit bulky/complicated if you just want one or two samples tested on an interval of along running job.

Yes - but it’s pretty inexpensive and (at this point in time) pretty simple. I’m hoping if enough of us use it - and I can get it to do what I want - that they will add functionality.

The easiest way to get hat to happen is make sure @josecgomez uses it.

Haha I want to, I just can’t justify it yet! However I did get a request today to allow us to fill out a document for Shipping Trailer Quality inspection that looks right as rain for this. Though at the moment it seems we can only use it in the Quality Module

How much was it @MikeGross

Is there such a thing as Shipping Time inspection in Epicor?

DD Cost = roughly $280 license, $40 maintenance - based on your MES user count. Up front it hurts a little, but if it makes Quality work in your favor then it’s worth every penny.

that looks like it’ll be perfect for either QA inspection Plan configurator OR ECM form with a link on a MES Screen. There’s no “shipping time” that I know, but we built “Shipping” as the last Operation on every MOM. that way we can capture the time it takes to crate/package/process etc. and gives us a QA point (manually currently) to do something like this form. We take pictures as well, so we need something a bit more robust that any of these options for our shipping QA process. We might try and make Wireless Warehouse work for that.

That per user? (MES)? Cause let me tell you if that’s the case that’s gonna hurt :money_with_wings:

I think we got like a 1000 or 600 MES liceses LoL

Yeah - per user. That might hurt really bad unless you can work a deal at that Qty.

Sounds like you need to give them tablets.

It’s more of how to take, process, shrink, and store the pictures. We can get pictures from tablets or wifi-only phones (used for EWW), but the storage and attachment are the problem. EWW allows for this in Proof of delivery, but from a QA standpoint we may need 30 pictures for one shipment.

*Edit - And I’m NOT putting them into ECM.

Just haven’t found the right solution yet. CPC looks like it’ll do what we need, but it’s $$$ as well. And I don’t want to write something custom until I exhaust the options.
