RB Reports from 3.0 to 5.0

*nods* Can I start making the changes before we upgrade, or do I need to
wait until after we upgrade to use the new data dictionary so I know what to
change?

Thanks again,
Jamie

Good morning,

My company's making the big jump from 3.0 to 5.0 this weekend (joy!). We
have a large number of custom reports that we have made in Report Builder.
I have heard that in making the transition, several of the tables have been
changed, and therefore the
RB reports will need to be tweaked.

What have others experienced regarding making RB reports work again after
the upgrade?

Thanks for the input!

I did not go to 5.0 yet, but from 3.0 to 4.0, there were no table changes
that affected any of my 50 or so reports. However, the database named
changed, which meant I had to go into EVERY report and change the Connection
setting to point to the new database name.
We recently completed our upgrade form 4 to 5 and had to update each
custom report to run with v5. As for the "tweaking" of the reports, out
of the 100 or so custom reports we have, about 30 of them needed to be
updated due to the new table names, mostly ReqQty, to SellingReqQty.

Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to

If possible keep the same host, service, database name and
database path. That way changes will be minimum. Mostly
invcdtl.reqqty to invcdtl.sellingreqqty as someone else
pointed out.

I just remembered that v3 used dcdv7 as a database name and
I'm not sure that v5 will allow that.
