We are just starting to try and use the recurring je. We were
wondering how they post. Do they post when you close the month so
that one we created just today will post for April or do they show up
for the next month when you close the month. So for May the recurring
entry will show up when you go to enter all your other JE?
I would appreciate anyones help on this matter. Thanks in advance

The entries are created for the following month when this month is closed.
Example, when I closed March, the recurring entries for April were
automatically generated in a recurring entry group.....however, they do not
automatically POST. You get to do that for yourself. THIS IS A VERY GOOD
THING.

Stephanie,
We have quite a few recurring entries set up, and they work really well for
us.
When you close a month, say you are closing March under the close fiscal
period/year, the system will take the recurring entries that you have set
up under maintenance and put them in a journal entry group for April. When
you look under your journal entry groups you will see the journal entry
there that the system set up for you. Then as you are working on
everything for the month of April, you can make changes to these recurring
entries if you need to. We may have to change some figures for
depreciation, but at least you don't need to type in the whole entry, just
change a few numbers. Then just post the recurring batch to April when you
are done with all the items, just like a normal journal entry. Hope this

The second you close April, May's recurring journal entries will appear.
You can adjust May's recurring entries if you need to, right on the General
Ledger-General Operations-Journal Entry screen. Then you must manually post
the entries.
