Brian.I took your idea and created a checkbox on the order detail tab and
made the condition 'if this is false, then erase the text and check the
box.' It seems to work for me. Thanks for the help.

You could make the BPM conditional on the setting of a boolean flag on
the record your manipulating, and set it to true during the BPM, so it
would only run once and then turn itself off.

When Sales Order Lines are created the Job Comments are automatically
pulled
into the OrderDtl.PickListComment field. We don't want them pulled in.
But, during order entry the sales department may add comments that we do
want printed on the Pick List. I experimented with a very simple BPM to
erase the job comments, but unfortunately it erases everything in that
field
every time the order is saved. How do I get the BPM to run just once to
erase the Job Comments and leave any comment added by sales?
