Report Builder Help: 0 on hand qty records

If you are using report builder, join the part bin table
to the part table with a left outer join. If the onhand
qty is 0, you will get a question mark in the onhand field.
You can also format the field to show unknown values
as 0, instead of ? Hope this helps, if you have any other
questions, let me know.

I am trying to work with a Usage report using the Part table joined to
the PartBin Table. I can't get any 0 on hand qty records. I found the
following in my Onelist archives (SEE BELLOW). This is from 9/22/00.
Has anyone found an answer to this?

We just worked with Vantage support concerning the issue of receiving 0
onhand qty for another report and this was the response:
Unfortunately, a part number has to have a least 1 in its quantity to be
able to pull info for a report. Report cannot be run. Best way to
simulate
is to run a report of all inventory, also run a report of inventory with
qtys on hand and compare the two.
Hope this helps! We thought we were over looking something simple also!
If
anyone knows some way to get that answer, please pass it on.

Are you working in Report Builder, Crystal or Progress 4gl?

Not sure exactly what you are looking for. But if you use a left
outer join you will see all part records even if a partbin does not
exist. You can display the unknowns as a zero.
