There was a series of messages on this topic from June 25, 2008 thru June 27, 2008. Started by a post from Lonnie Drew. Basically it amounted to "
copy v9 bin\Prorb32.exe and one .dll to same location in v10, and I believe it says v9 must be installed on the same machine as v10." So this sort ot presupposes a site that is upgrading from 6.10 that would have Progress 9.1d.
The rest of the thread on the topic detailed some sites with succes and some with Convmap.cp errors as well as questions about getting reports on to 8.x menus. There had been earlier reports and discussion at Perspectives about being able to run existing reports if the table schemas had not changed but not being able to develop new reprots but the above technique apparently allowed people to develop new reports too.
If you search the group web interface for those dates the whole conversation should be available.
