Report in Epicor displaying PO# and Job# for Subcontracting operations

Is there a report or Epicor screen I can access that displays the link between PO# and Job#?

I am using Planning Workbench to view job change suggestions and would love to pull in the PO into my excel sheet using vlookup.

Thank you!

Hi Lucas,

I am not sure that the Planning Workbench is the best spot for the subcontract data because planning workbench is on a per job basis and subcontract is on a job operation basis, thus a one to many relationship. I do not see any standard system tool that provides this data in grid form for easy download to Excel. We have a Job priority dispatch dashboard to match the data in the Job priority dispatch report, per example below. This shows the data filtered to show only the subcontract operations.

We do not have PO / line / release on this dashboard. I think it could be added by tying PO release into the query. Let me know if you’d like me to post the BAQ.

I built us a dashboard for that purpose but we have a more complex setup than just a standard subcontract process. We store our material off-site at these locations and keep it on our books as our material so it involves several sites and transfer orders as well.

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for the input! Would you be able to post the BAQ?

Lucas

Lindsay,

That does sound complex. Would you be willing to share what your screen looks like or any additional information?

Lucas

Hi Lucas,

Sure, here it is. It was exported in version 10.1.600. Much of it is thanks to information I found on this site. :+1: If you have any difficulty with import and are not aware, here are instructions (backwards compatibility) for changing the version on it to try and import, if needed. There are a couple UD fields in there that you probably do not have, you probably need to delete them to get it to run. JobProd shortchar 1, 2, 3.

We have sites setup for the offsite storage locations and then do transfer orders of the materials that we supply those locations. We use subcontract jobs to then purchase the finished goods parts, that gives us the PO and the appropriate purchase price for the work the subcontractor is doing. You then receive the goods back into that site and transfer it back to our main location on a transfer order. Here’s what the high level workflow looks like.

Keeping everything in sync with what you are planning as the production planner or scheduler gets a little confusing but we found this process works for accounting and operations to understand where we are in the process of getting things through.

Thanks,
Lindsay

Nancy,

I apologize for not saying thank you much earlier, so thank you!

We ended up creating a custom dashboard that links the Planning Workbench (to grab job# and suggestions) and Open JOb (I think a custom dashboard).

Again, thank you!
