Our labor claiming is not great. We have many situations where operation 30 will have 10 claimed but operation 20 will only have 2 claimed. Our shop floor does get a warning message when this happens, but they click through it and cheerfully move along. Does the system log these instances or is there a canned report to catch these?
We are a long way from having the culture of accountability when it comes to labor claiming so we need help to catch these errors quickly, ideally before we are closing jobs.
I made a baq to catch some suspicious claiming, but that only checks for over claiming or claiming too little compared to the overall job quantity.
I tried to search for this, but I didn’t know the correct phrases.
Not exactly. We need to know if operations are getting skipped.
Unfortunately this is a common occurrence. It doesn’t make sense that 4 were completed on the last operation when 0-3 were completed on the middle operations.
Looking at one operation at a time we don’t know if the whole quantity should have been completed or not. It is feasible that a job would be partially done and that could be accurate. We need to be able to compare the operation and its prior operation. Prior subassemblies would be ideal, but one thing at a time.
