I have a 2 part question
I am trying to reschedule a job that has labor posted against it, obviously I’m getting an error telling me I cannot move, because of this. Is there away around this, it was started 8/1 and is pretty much complete, so I want to move other jobs into this date, but it wants to stay starting 8/16
2nd question
I have another job that has about 60 hours on one resource/operation with a schedule start date of 8/23 , completing 9/3. Some of the days in between our Saturday and Sunday and the Labor Day Holiday. Is there a way to put a break in to account for those days
For your 2nd question, you can modify the resource’s calendar via “Production Calendar Maintenance” → “Working Days” tab to account for weekends and holidays
I’d probably just wait for it to complete then it will disappear from the board. But I thought that, even with time clocked, you should be able to change its start date to the labor date and have the job’s duration recalculate an accurate End date. I’m also assuming there are no job-date restraints or other labor/material transactions that would prevent the date change.
The chart does not break the bars for non-working days - confirmed with Support - but the length of the bars is (should be) accurate considering zero hours will be worked on Sat/Sun/Holidays) as long as the holidays are exceptions on the appropriate Production calendar.
for question 1 it is a setting on the company if it is allowed to reschedule started operations, check company configuration → Production → Jobs → rescedule started operations.
